My father finally gave in, allowing Lydia and Wickham to visit our home before heading north. The visit so far has been anything but enjoyable. Lydia is completely and utterly naive to the whole situation. She acts as though the matter is all just fun and games! She fails to realize the heartache and monstrosity she has put upon our family. Her obnoxious, arrogant, immature behavior has proved this. I believed that all of us expected at least the slightest change in Lydia; we were mistaken. The only topic she wished to discuss was her love for her so called "husband" and her love for the new last name. One day she shall realize what true love is, and that what she and Wickham shared was anything but true love.
Although, one thing I learned from Lydia's banter was that Mr.Darcy attended the wedding! I must write to my aunt at once and get to the bottom of this!
Until then,
Lizzy
Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteI would not have expected your arrogant sister to act any different after marrying Wickham. Wickham is only in this marriage thanks to my dear nephew who is saving YOUR family's reputation (you're welcome). On a side note, I do not understand what my nephew was doing at that wedding. I believe it was to make sure that awful Wickham didn't take his money and bail.
