True Love, or True Hatred?

Mr.Darcy continues to amaze me. While contemplating the information Colonel Fitzwilliam divulged to me, Mr.Darcy arrived unexpectedly, with a proposal. Mr.Darcy had the nerve to ask me for my hand in matrimony. How utterly mistaken he is. Keep in mind, his "proposal" was in fact rather insulting towards my family, taking notice at our lack of social superiority. I could never fathom marrying a man who not only does not accept me for the person I am, but also does not accept my family. Although... such actions from Mr.Darcy are not surprising; his pride absolutely seems to comsume him.
Shall I not forget to mention he handed me a two page letter after our confrontation while I was walking. He adressed the Jane and Bingley issue, openly admitting he had full intention to split them up. He also adressed his conflict with Wickham, stating that Wickham was in fact the one with ill intentions; attempting to wed with Georgiana with the desire to receive part of her fortune.
My feelings are conficted. Mr. Darcy's proposal was obviously offensive, but I am rather perplexed...He did confess his love and admiration for me... looking back, his actions suggested he felt this way towards me. He also brought my attention to Wickham... perhaps I should have had better judgement of character... I am at loss of words.

Even more details to come,
Lizzy

  2. "Better judgement of character"?! I think you were completely correct with your first opinion! That man does not deserve you! You need somebody... magical. Somebody marvelous! Someone perfect!

So... this means you are technically still single, right...?

  3. Mr.Collins, I appreciate your support; however, I am still torn between my feelings for Mr.Darcy. He is quite a complex man... Is there a motive for your curiousity towards my relationship with Mr.Darcy? I should not think there should be, considering you are happily wed to Charlotte.
